We’ve been scheming with Shannon and Cory about their Austin elopement since I had the pleasure of shooting their engagement portraits. They decided on the lovely Chapel Dulcinea to tie the knot--a perfectly picturesque hill country venue. We also eloped, so we have a special place in our hearts for the intimate atmosphere of elopements.
Shannon and Cory are such a down-to-earth, relaxed couple. For their wedding, they knew they wanted it to be just the two of them. Their desire to celebrate with such sweet simplicity was refreshing to behold. It was truly an honor for us to witness and document. Even the unexpectedly frigid cold front that rolled in on their big day couldn’t quell their happiness. It was COLD (around 35*), windy and drizzly, and they had expected a warm Texas wedding. Regardless, these two persevered, and Shannon absolutely rocked her springtime dress and boots.
Shannon and Cory let us roam around Austin with them and get some fun celebratory shots following the ceremony. We even joined them for their first meal as newlyweds at the scrumptious Pinthouse Pizza--our new favorite pizza place in town. They were so kind--offering to buy us pizza and beer on their big day, and insisting that we share their wedding cake!
Shannon and Cory’s optimism, kindness and penchant for focusing on what truly matters seems like the perfect recipe for a beautiful marriage. We can’t wait to see where life takes them together! Congratulations, you two!
