If you read Ty's recent blog post about gardening, you know that during this past year we've been invigorated by all the wisdom you can glean by learning from nature. When we initially became interested in gardening last summer, we heard about Genesis Gardens from a friend of ours. The first time we volunteered there, we instantly fell in love with their practices and their ethos. Genesis Gardens is all about developing healthy community (body & soul) for people of all walks of life. It is most specifically about creating a bountiful, nourishing environment (again, in every sense of the word) for individuals who have struggled with homelessness. We love everything they stand for.
We wanted to contribute something to this amazing organization, and so we asked if we could partner with them by taking photos. They graciously agreed. Heidi (of G.G.) asked us to tell a visual story of food going from "farm to table," and how it connects humans in the process. It's still a work in progress, but we wanted to share a couple photos so far.
