Spencer and Alicia are such a special couple. They met less than a year ago, but it didn’t take long for them to just know. When I imagined shooting a wedding in New York City, I expected the celebration to be fast-paced, boisterous and busy, reflecting the bustle and whir of the city. But as I documented Spencer and Alicia’s wedding day, they gracefully floated through the entire experience. It was clear they were both so confident in their choice to spend their lives together. Their deep faith and strong love for one another was more than enough confirmation for them to happily take the next step.
They were married on a gorgeous fall morning in Central Park. The forecast predicted heavy thunderstorms all week, but as they made their vows, sunshine glistened through the trees. Everything about the day felt so serenely symbolic. Even as they strolled through the busy streets of New York together, it seemed like it was just them, beaming about their new beginnings. Following the ceremony, everyone celebrated with drinks and impossibly scrumptious breakfast food at Bobo, a quintessential Greenwich Village eatery. There was lots of dancing, laughter, and quite a few heartfelt tears. And of course, no wedding is complete without a quick ice cream stop at Shake Shack to round the day out.
Spencer and Alicia, I am in love with your love! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. I see nothing but truly wonderful things in your future.
