Couples

Maggie + Charlie Engaged | Lush Gardens, Petit Pies and True Love | Austin Wedding Photographers

Maggie and Charlie are such a precious duo. I had the joy of working with Maggie at a summer camp many moons ago. She was getting her master's in social work at the time. Yes, she is one of those amazing souls committed to loving and helping people even when it's tough (especially when it's tough). When I learned that she met a fella through her social work classes, it made all the sense in the world. It's amazing to see two incredibly selfless people fall in love. And yes, while they are busy being amazing life-changing people from 9-5, they are also an absolute blast to be around! We had such fun traipsing around town with them, cracking jokes to make them smile and watching them eat pie so adorably. (Who actually looks that cute when eating? They do.)

We love you two! We are so excited for your lives together! Now go change the world with your sweet love. :)

Barr Mansion Wedding Photographer | Jenna + Nathan Married

Jenna and Nathan are two souls who are so at ease simply being who they are. When two of these kind of people fall in love, you just can’t help but feel comfortable being yourself around them. Their love is relaxed and refreshing. Their wedding day was laid-back and beautiful and genuine and goofy and so endearing. It was also a family affair. The daisies that sprinkled the bouquets were picked fresh that morning from Jenna's mother's garden. Her sister-in-law coordinated the whole event, making sure that the day really felt like them. Her dad officiated the ceremony, and Nathan's brother served as the best man while his sister-in-law (who helped set Nathan and Jenna up) was her maid-of-honor.

When it started drizzling at Barr Mansion just before the ceremony, I thought, “uh-oh,” because typically that’s a set-back on a wedding day. But Jenna smiled and shrugged in the room where she was getting ready. Her mother sweetly mentioned that it rained on her wedding day, too. And as Jenna walked down the aisle in the cool drizzle toward Nathan waiting for her under the branches of an old oak tree, everything felt right.

Jenna and Nathan, I can’t wait to see what adventures await you! May these pictures bless you and remind you of how profound your union is for years to come.
